With the month of September the weather starts to cool down a little bit. But the temperatures are still quite high and nowhere near autumn season in other European countries.

The average temperature is 24°C (75°F) but the average low drops to 19°C (66°F) and the average high is 28°C (82°F).

The average sunshine in September is around 7 hours. Luckily rain is very rare in September, and because of the warm sea, still around 24°C (75°F) swimming is still a popular activity this month.

Humidity is a little higher, around 60%, but this is unnoticeable for most visitors.

October

This month the temperatures get lower, especially at night. The average temperatures are

19°C (66°F), the average low is 15°C (59°F) and the average high 23°C (73°F).

The beginning of October is almost like September, but towards the end of the month the weather is much cooler..The days are also shorter, with around 5 sunshine hours per day,

And rain is not that uncommon in Athens in October, so there is a chance that you will encounter a rainy day when you visit Athens in October.
